Atlanta & Athens Healthcare Townhalls
Georgia Equality and The Health Initiative are hosting public townhalls for LGBT persons interested in learning how they might be impacted by the Affordable Care Act. See their release below for info:
Join Georgia Equality and The Health Initiative to learn more about what healthcare reform means for Georgians.
On Tuesday, November 12th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm we will host a public meeting at The Phillip Rush Center.
There have been great changes to our healthcare system and how people are able to access coverage. While these changes affect everyone, there are very specific issues that the LGBTQ community should be aware of.
The town hall meeting will discuss how the Affordable Care Act changes the healthcare landscape and how it specifically impacts LGBTQ individuals, couples, youth and people living with chronic medical conditions such as HIV/AIDS.
We will also have a Georgia Healthcare Navigator on site to answer your questions!
The program is free. To RSVP please email email@example.com
If you can’t make it to the Atlanta townhall, we will be doing the same program in Athens on November 19th, and again in Atlanta on December 11th, 2013.
We hope you will join us! From Your Friends at Georgia Equality
